Born In a Small village in Portugal of Dutch Origin, I studied to become an engineer and an architect, but with a love of football from childhood, dreamed of becoming a player for SL Benfica. With a powerful imagination, and being extremely creative I began painting professionally as an artist in 1990, exhibiting publicly and receiving commissions. A loaner, I have lived and visited many countries within Europe, working as a professional artist, an assistant architect, designer and fashion stylist.
Originally named Luis, I adopted my artistic name LYZ from a child learning to talk.
It has been said by others that with my fascination for the unknown, the unexplained and the cosmos, I was born too soon, and do not belong to this time or space.
